ADHISESHA - THE SERPENT GOD
(June  29, 2003)

The thousand hooded snake, Adhisesha, is the bed of Lord Mahavishnu. Adhisesha is a master of all subjects, arts and sciences. The hindus believe that worshipping Adhisesha would bestow them with wisdom.

The hindus worship the belongings of the Lord as they worship the Lord himself. Thus, Adhisesha, the bed of the Lord, is also worshipped.

Adhisehsa is never separate from the Lord. When the Lord incarnated as Rama, Adhisesha incarnated as His younger brother Lakshmana.

When the Lord incarnated as Krishna, Adhisehsa incarnated as His elder brother Balarama.
